Following a car accident, Mom faced the challenges of preeclampsia and the looming risk of a stroke. Amid it all, little John decided it was time to make his grand entrance into the world. Everyone is safe and healthy, and we're overjoyed to announce that after 4 nights at the hospital, Baby John has been growing stronger and has finally been discharged!
The Vonmocks are beyond grateful for the unwavering support and care that Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois provided during this challenging time. Today, filled with excitement and gratitude, Mom and Dad are bringing Baby John back home, and they've decided to extend the warmth of the RMHCCI experience to their newest family member!

Becoming a recurring donor is a powerful way to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois (RMHCCI) and help us provide a "home away from home" for families of seriously ill children. When you become a recurring donor, you commit to making regular, ongoing donations to RMHCCI, which allows us to plan ahead and serve more families in need.
By donating the following amounts in one year, you can provide the corresponding number of nights of stay for families at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois:
- $10.50 per month = 1 night of stay
- $21.50 per month = 2 nights of stay
- $75 per month = 1 week of stay
- $150 per month = 2 weeks of stay
Follow these simple steps to become a recurring donor:

In a heartwarming update from 25 News, Everett Gourdier, who spent the first few months of his life in the hospital fighting for survival, is now thriving at home. His mother, Rebecca Gourdier, is back at the Ronald McDonald House in Downtown Peoria, where she found hope during a challenging time.
Recently, Rebecca, her family, and her team from Progress Rail prepared a holiday meal at the House, giving back to other families facing similar struggles.
Everett, born with four heart defects and having undergone two open-heart surgeries, is a testament to resilience. While enjoying a moment of togetherness with other families at the House, Rebecca acknowledges the challenges ahead but expresses gratitude for the support received. This story highlights the strength of the community and the impact of the Ronald McDonald House in providing comfort and connection during difficult times. |
