At Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois, our Meals from the Heart (MFTH) program is not just about food; it's about providing comfort, warmth, and support to families facing challenging times. Each year, we serve nearly 1,000 people through this heartwarming initiative.

But why are these meals so important? Imagine the relief a parent feels when they sit down to a homemade, warm meal after a long day at the hospital, miles away from home. In the midst of stress and uncertainty, a shared meal brings a sense of normalcy and comfort, reminding families that they are not alone. You can make a difference too! Join us in spreading love and hope by signing up to cook a meal for families.

12th Annual Dave Cope “Swing for the Love of It” Peoria Golf Tournament

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Terry Clark, Ashley Catour, and all our generous sponsors for their unwavering support of the 12th Annual Dave Cope "Swing for the Love of It" Memorial Golf Tournament.

On Tuesday, September 12th, at the picturesque Weaver Ridge Golf Club in Peoria (5100 N. Weaverridge Blvd., Peoria, IL 61615), the day began with registration at 9:00 am, leading into an exciting scramble-style tournament featuring 36 teams of four players, which teed off at 10:00 am.

As the sun set on a fantastic day of golf, we all gathered for a delightful dinner, a thrilling live auction, and the presentation of awards. None of this would have been possible without your generous support, and we are truly grateful for your contribution to make this event a resounding success. Thank you for honoring Dave Cope's memory with us!
A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Valued Sponsors and Neuhoff Media!

Sweeny Jeep Run

The Sweeny family created a Jeep run and raised $15,000! In 2019, Owen and Isaac Sweeney were born 3 1/2 month early. Owen spent 221 days in the NICU and we lost Isaac at three weeks. "Because of the long hospital stay, we spent more than 100 days at the Ronald McDonald House in Springfield. We lost Isaac when he was recovering from a surgery. After the surgery, the doctors told to go back to the House and get something to eat, try to relax and they would call us if anything happened. Shortly after, we received a call than Isaac wasn't going to make it. We rushed up to his room, was at his bedside within 5 minutes. They unplugged him from all the machines and chords. Heath and I were able to hold Isaac and say goodbye to him the way it should be done, in the arms of his parents, wrapped in a blanket. He passed within 20 minutes of us getting to his room."

"We are grateful for the Ronald McDonald House because on that day if we would have went anywhere else to grab something to eat or to rest, we never would have made it back in time to say our goodbyes."

"It costs the Ronald McDonald House just over $100 a night for a family to stay. We stayed over 100 days. We never received a bill or was even asked to pay what we could. The Sweeney family puts on Isaac's Run for Ronald as a way to give back to the house and everything they did for us."
